Net Zero Targets

Actual emissions against the UK's carbon budgets. A carbon budget is a five-year legal cap on total emissions under the Climate Change Act; the cap line is the annual average each budget allows, in MtCO2e (million tonnes of CO2-equivalent). When emissions sit below the cap the UK is inside its legal limit; when they rise above it, it is not.
