Housing Stock

The total number of homes across the United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland combined. It has grown by around five million since 2002, to roughly 30.7 million today. That is a great deal of building, but it has still not kept pace with the number of new households forming — which is the gap that sits behind the affordability and rental pressures across the rest of this board.
