Poverty

The relative poverty line measured after housing costs, with rent and mortgage interest deducted from income before the count is made. It is the measure most anti-poverty groups favour, because high housing costs fall hardest on low-income renters and leave less to live on. It usually shows more people in poverty than the before-housing-costs line.
